PricewaterhouseCoopers Nominates Five New Directors in Assurance Department

30 July 2007 - Věra Výtvarová, Jiří Posker, Jiří Zouhar, Václav Prýmek and Milan Zelený have been nominated as Directors in the Assurance department of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Věra Výtvarová
will be responsible for audit and assurance services for international and local companies in the industrial products, retail and services sectors. Apart from carrying out statutory audits, she focuses mainly on services related to audit of financial reports according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and follow-up advice and training programmes.

“I will also be responsible for development of services in the area of accounting and preparation of reports for entrepreneurs active on the Czech market,” said Věra.

Věra Výtvarová studied at the University of Economics and is a member of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Great Britain (ACCA).

Jiří PoskerJiří Posker
has been leading PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Ostrava office since 2002. He will continue to provide audit and assurance services to clients operating mainly in the consumer and industrial products sectors, especially in Moravia.

Jiří Posker has broad experience in providing audit services to Czech and international companies, e.g., Tatra, Smurfit Kappa, TEVA, Plzeňský Prazdroj and others. He studied at the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Ostrava and is a qualified statutory auditor registered with the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic.

will be further responsible for audit and assurance services to clients active mainly in the industrial products and retail sectors. He will also provide advice in the area of US accounting standards (US GAAP) to companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe.

The current reporting models are, however, too complex, voluminous, and diverse, and, thus, difficult to apply effectively under the current conditions. Jiří Zouhar has extensive knowledge of the above sectors, international experience gained in European countries and the USA, and long-standing experience with audit and assurance services. He is a graduate of the University of Economics and a member of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Great Britain (ACCA) and the United States of America (CPA).

Václav PrýmekVáclav Prýmek
will be responsible for the provision of audit services and strategic accounting consultancy services to clients operating in the gas industry and technology. He has experience with projects for international and Czech companies in the telecommunications and services sectors, as well as with preparation of financial reports according to international accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP).

Václav Prýmek studied at the University of Economics and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Great Britain (ACCA) and the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic.

Milan ZelenýMilan Zelený
will be responsible for providing accounting advice to Czech clients and for providing advice on accounting for business combinations in accordance with IFRS in Central and Eastern Europe.

Milan Zelený leads the Prague group of accounting advisors that helps other PwC teams in the Czech Republic provide auditing services and deal with client’s complex transactions both according to IFRS and Czech accounting regulations.
