Global light vehicle assembly will grow by over 19%, from 65.2 million units in 2006 to 77.6 million units by 2014. While the majority of this growth will be likely to come from China, India and other emerging markets, mature markets are still expected to contribute nearly a third of that growth, according to ninth annual Global Automotive Financial Review by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Although companies in the Czech Republic are starting to feel the lack of workers, this fact is not being reflected in the average market growth of salaries. As in previous years, average salaries in 2007 increased on average by 4.5%-5.5%. On the other hand, the differences in the increase levels between individual firms have been more significant than in previous periods. These are some of the findings of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ annual survey, PayWell 2007: Effective Management, Effective Reward.

Over the past two years, Czech companies suffered an average loss of CZK 34,000,000 per company
as a direct result of economic crime |
61% of companies in the Czech Republic reported they were victims of some form of economic crime in the past two years, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers' Global Economic Crime Survey 2007. The average direct financial loss to companies reached striking USD 1.7 million (approximately CZK 34 million) during the period.

| PricewaterhouseCoopers 2007 revenues rise 10.5% to USD 25.2 billion |
PricewaterhouseCoopers today reports that worldwide gross revenues of its network of firms increased 10.5% at constant exchange rates to a record USD 25.2 billion for the fiscal year ended 30 June 2007. At variable rates of exchange, growth was even higher at 14.4%.

| Fifth of shared service centres employees leave in trial period |
Expensive recruitment, high fluctuation. These words summarise the personnel problems of so-called shared service centres (SSCs) in the Czech Republic. According to a new study from the Human Resource Management department of PricewaterhouseCoopers, SSCs spend on average almost CZK 40 000 per employee on recruitment, while the market average is CZK 17 000.
