Our global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) network assists clients in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic alliances, at all stages of the transaction process.

As part of an international network of firms, we have access to legal expertise in over 80 countries, combining strong local knowledge with extensive cross-border experience. We have acquired significant experience working with private companies, listed groups and private equity firms on a wide range of domestic and cross-border M&A projects.

Most of our work is done in multi-disciplinary transactional teams that include other legal practice areas (like IP/IT, competition, regulatory and employment), tax teams and advisory specialists from the corporate finance and transaction departments at PwC. This enables us to offer workable and valuable solutions to our clients while delivering seamless and coordinated services.

Our M&A lawyers are involved in many of PwC's industry sector groups and can tap into the knowledge and experience of their colleagues across the network.

For clients planning to sell their business, we offer a full range of services, including vendor assistance; full vendor due diligence; data room management and deal execution, for both auction and stand alone sales. For buyers, we have considerable experience in carrying out buy-side due diligence and deal execution (including banking and related finance work).

We also focus on advising owner managed and family owned businesses from inception to exit and assisting management teams on primary and further buy-outs with financial investors.

Our services cover:

  • acquisitions and divestures
  • buyer and vendor legal due diligence
  • joint ventures
  • management advice
  • pre and post deal corporate structuring
  • antitrust
  • takeover bids
  • real estate
  • regulatory approach
  • refinancing and cash extraction work
