Evaluating Internal Controls (COSO)

Internal controls promote efficiency, reduce risk of organizations not meeting their objectives, and help ensure the reliability of financial statements and compliance with laws and regulations. This course is designed to aid internal auditors to properly fulfill their roles as the evaluators of internal control by describing the internal control COSO model and providing guidance/tools on evaluating internal controls based on COSO approach.


Business combinations and the consolidation of subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS - Fundamental level

Rules of IFRS 3 Business combinations in respect of the acquisition of subsidiaries use the purchase method, rules for fair valuation of net assets on acquisition and the calculation of goodwill or gain from bargain purchases. Rules of IAS 27 Consolidated and separate financial statements will be applied on the single level consolidation of subsidiaries in the year of acquisition and subsequent accounting periods, including rules for the elimination of intragroup balances, transactions and unrealised profit, impact of fair valuation of net assets on acquisition and related effects on deferred tax. Rules for additional purchases and partial sales of investment in subsidiaries


Audit Negotiations and Interviewing techniques

This module is designed to improve the internal auditors’ communication skills and interaction that are basic preconditions for presenting the auditor and the internal auditing function as a valuable service to management. IFRS 9 - Hot News

This course was looking into detail of the newly issues standard and provided key insight inon the heated endorsement debate within the European institutions and outline of the future stages which should during 2010 lead to full replacement of the complex IAS 39 standard.
