During the past years, the world economy was characterised by stability and favourable conditions, great growth, low inflation, favourable interest-rates, easy liquidity and positive consumer psychology. The world however is going through a period of change, and this change has been abrupt. The current financial crisis has shocked financial markets, has undermined consumer and investor confidence and continues to cause financial losses.
On Monday, 4 May 2009 PwC presented the results of the quantitative and qualitative survey regarding the economic crisis which was carried out among 49 large and 220 small to medium-sized enterprises in February-March 2009.
