Corporate Social Responsibility

The financial crisis generated considerable uncertainty but responsible business is a very necessary condition for sustained social progress. Society's expectations of companies are growing significantly and we must look beyond those needs and make a positive and responsible contribution.

Since the very beginning, we, in PwC Cyprus aspire to be a great corporate citizen by playing a leading role in the community. The CSR activity in our organisation is all about abiding with our Code of Conduct and our values of leadership, excellence and teamwork with all our stakeholders.

Employees, stakeholders, customers, suppliers and the society are the recipients of a series of activities and behaviors that are integrated into our organisation's program which has 5 pillars:

CSR News:

  • 5 December 2011: "Helping the Association for the welfare of people with mental handicap" campaign begins.
  • Our Annual Dinner Dance celebration combined with a donation to the Centre of Preventive Pediatrics: With the proceeds from the sales of flowers at our Annual Dinner Dance and a firm top-up we have bought a new server for the Center of Preventive Pediatrics.
  • With the slogan "Blood Donation Day: A Day of Life", our annual blood donation day was organised for the support of the Nicosia General Hospital blood bank on 7 December 2010 at the Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos offices. This year the blood donation in Nicosia was organised the same day as the annual Unicef Christmas bazaar, celebrating in this way the values of giving and volunteerism that characterise our organisation.
