Canada and Quebec have agreed in principle to harmonize the Quebec Sales Tax (QST) and the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Jean Charest, Premier of Quebec, and Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, made the September 30, 2011, announcement.
