Learning is an ongoing process
While you’ll receive plenty of instruction to help you prepare for your UFE and your role as an associate, at PwC, we believe that learning is an ongoing process. That’s why, at every step of your career with us, we’re committed to helping you reach your full potential.
Beyond our UFE Preparatory Program and Assurance 1 programs, you’ll have access to other development opportunities in a variety of learning settings from classrooms and conferences to self-study and e-learning. Whether it’s mastering new software, managing multiple priorities, or sharpening your skills in your chosen line of service, our flexible approach helps you achieve your learning goals when and where it best suits you.
We’ve also developed programs to help you further down the road in your career. As you move into more senior roles, you may have the opportunity to participate in leadership development programs such as Genesis Park and Ulysses. Genesis Park is a global PwC leadership program that provides our top people with the coaching, peer counselling and training they need to reach the highest levels of their career. A rigorous, rewarding, and memorable experience, Genesis Park prepares the firm's most promising staff members to embrace the PwC values: leadership, teamwork, and excellence.
Michael Paterson (a senior manager in Toronto) – A personal story
“Genesis Park underlined to me the commitment of PwC to invest in people and the global reach of the firm. My team was assembled from seven different countries and we all felt privileged to have had such a unique learning experience. We received first-class training and executive coaching on critical skills, including team building, presenting and communicating. I was continually amazed by the diverse backgrounds and the knowledge of my team, and in retrospect I learned the most important lessons from them. I learned about countries, clients and industries I knew little about, and I gained a global perspective and appreciation for all the opportunities that exist at PwC.”
The Ulysses Leadership Development Program gives our partners the opportunity to volunteer for an international assistance non-profit organization within a developing country. Ulysses prepares participants for challenges that go beyond the confines of accounting by responding to expectations and responsibilities of a rapidly evolving global world of business.
