Summary of Key Points – November 1, 2010

On October 27, 2010 the Canadian Securities Administration issued Staff Notice 51-333: Environmental Reporting Guidance (‘the Notice’). The Notice does not create any new legal disclosure requirements; instead it provides interpretative guidance to reporting issuers (other than investment funds) on existing continuous disclosure (CD) requirements relating to environmental matters under securities legislation. As such, the guidance applies to current year disclosures.
