The Big 4 accounting firms (PwC, Deloitte, KPMG and E&Y) competed for the most “successful” campaign. Success was measured by things like the increase in employee participation, increase in total dollar donations, quality of United Way events and the overall commitment to the campaign. These metrics were evaluated by a panel composed of members from the United Way as well as a representative from each one of the Big 4 firms.
The overall goal of the challenge was to collectively raise $1,000,000 in donations between the Big 4 firms. PwC’s goal was to raise $130,000. We are pleased to report that PwC Calgary not only achieved the original goal, but surpassed it by raising more than $142,000.
We also scored points for the quality of the campaign by achieving the highest percentage of employee engagement and participation next to our accounting competitors. This result was likely due in part to our innovative events that brought in many of our staff. We are proud of the culture we promote at PwC and the people who bring it to life — congratulations to those who supported this cause!
