PricewaterhouseCoopers' Business Insights® Survey of Canadian Private Companies is our annual "state of the nation" report on Canadian private companies. We survey hundreds of private business leaders from across the country about the issues and challenges facing their organizations. Now in its fifth year, Business Insights® has quickly gained a reputation for gauging the trends shaping Canada's private companies both large and small.
How have private companies fared through the recession of the past year? What are they doing to position themselves for success in the future? For the fifth year, the Business Insights® Survey of Canadian Private Companies sought the opinions of leaders of private companies in Canada to find out what their concerns are, how they are dealing with the issues of today and what they are doing to plan for tomorrow.
Since conducting our survey a year ago, private companies have had to live through a climate of more uncertainty than many would like to experience. Results from 466 respondents show that although it has been by no stretch an easy year, on the whole, Canadian private companies have fared better throughout this period than one might have expected.
