Usuff Currim is a partner in the Consulting practice of PwC LLP working in the Toronto North office.
Usuff leads our Data Management team and is responsible for developing the methodology for data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) for Canada.
Usuff started the data management practice in 2003 and has helped clients better understand, interpret and manage their data using a wide range of proven methodologies and tools, enabling our clients to gain new insights into their business. With an accounting, business processes and controls background, coupled with information technology and data management knowledge and experience, Usuff has worked on major financial institutions and corporations across various industries to transform their businesses in a sustainable manner.
Usuff has worked for PwC member firms for more than 30 years, starting at Price Waterhouse’s Hong Kong office in 1979 as an audit assistant. He joined the Canadian firm in 1991 and had a one-year secondment in the London, UK office. Since joining the Canadian firm, Usuff has also led the firm’s national training department and the information technology (IT) audit support function. He is also the key IT audit methodology subject matter expert for the firm.
Usuff obtained a High Diploma in Accounting from HK Polytechnic in 1979 and a High Diploma in Training and Development from the University of Macau in 2004. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois), a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators (UK), and was a board of director member of the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association for five years.
