Usuff Currim is a Toronto-based partner in the Risk Assurance Services practice of PwC. He possesses significant data management expertise, and through this, seeks to help his clients gain new insights into their business.
Usuff started PwC’s Data Management practice in 2003 and has deep experience helping clients better understand, interpret and manage their data using a wide range of proven methodologies and tools. With an accounting, business processes and controls background, coupled with information technology and data management knowledge and experience, Usuff has helped major financial institutions and corporations across various industries to transform their businesses in a sustainable manner.
Usuff has more than 35 years of experience with PwC globally, working with the firm’s Hong Kong, UK and Canadian offices. Since joining the Canadian firm in 1991, he has led the firm’s national training department and the information technology (IT) audit support function. He is also responsible for developing the methodology for data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) for PwC Canada.
Usuff obtained a High Diploma in Accounting from HK Polytechnic in 1979 and a High Diploma in Training and Development from the University of Macau in 2004. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois), a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators (UK), and was a board member of the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association for five years.
