Stéphane Marcassa is a partner in the Tax Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Montréal office.
He is a member of the firm’s Indirect Tax team and specializes in this area. He advises clients in all types of industries on issues relating to GST, HST, QST, PST, Sales and Use Tax, excise tax and other indirect taxes. He provides assistance to a large number of clients with Canadian and/or international operations in all operating sectors, including big businesses from the manufacturing, transportation, forestry, e-commerce, media and telecommunications sectors.
His services include restructuring and acquisition planning, statutory and regulatory compliance, tax audit support, tax reviews and other related matters.
Stéphane holds a Bachelor in Law (LL.B.) from Université de Montréal and a specialized graduate diploma (“DESS”) in tax from McGill University. He became a member of the Québec Bar in 1993.
He writes regular columns in CCH Canadian’s monthly newsletter and has given presentations on tax issues at numerous conferences both internally and externally. He is member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF).
