Sharon Carew, LLB

Sharon Carew is a Tax Services associate partner working in the Mississauga office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She is a member of the Pension Wind-Up team.

Sharon specializes in pension plan administration and taxation issues related to pension plans and their wind up, and project and data management. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the pension field. She has also led a team of professionals to wind up more than 30 pension plans.

Sharon obtained her LLB from Toronto’s Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997 and was called to the Bar of Ontario one year later. In 1999, she received her Pension Plan Administration certificate from Toronto’s Humber College. She also completed the CICA’s Indepth tax course and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist. Her post-secondary academic accomplishments include receiving University of Toronto’s Industrial Relations award, and the Women’s Law Award in Estate Planning and Stikeman Elliott Tax Award at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Sharon is an instructor at Humber College’s Pension Plan Administration Certificate Program. She also won the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ GTA Volunteer award in the Health category.
