Sandra is the Director, Business Development and Global Markets, for PwC Canada, working in our Toronto office. Sandra’s depth of experience, network of business contacts and public profile allow her to serve PwC’s clients domestically and abroad. Her distinguished career in the public sector — including leading trade delegations in most major markets globally — will help PwC’s clients develop relationships in markets that align to their growth strategies.
Sandra was first elected to the Ontario Legislature in 1995, was appointed to Cabinet in 2003, and was a candidate in the 2013 Ontario Liberal leadership election. During her renowned political career, she served most of her 8 years in Cabinet as Minister of Economic Development and Trade. In addition, she served as Minister of Education and Minister of Social Services.
Sandra has a proven track record of building profitable partnerships across multiple industries, having managed multi-billion dollar budgets and initiatives, driving growth and leading organizational transformation. She has put her strategic thinking to work with businesses throughout the supply network of most sectors, especially manufacturing, financial services, information communication technology, life sciences, aerospace, automotive and energy. Sandra also spent last year serving the federal government reviewing Canada’s aerospace industry and its worldwide competitiveness and tabled a report in December 2012.
