Robert is a partner in the Assurance Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He specializes in issues involving financial instruments, including derivatives and hedging transactions, and advises on both Canadian and U.S. GAAP. Rob’s work also focuses on structured transactions, such as those involving special purposes entities, securitizations of financial assets and leasing arrangements.
Rob is frequently involved in in-house instruction on complex accounting issues, both as a presentation developer and instructor. He often participates in presentations on complex accounting issues and new accounting rules to clients, and contributes each year in the development of the firm’s Annual Update Course provided to both staff and clients.
After joining the firm in 1997, Rob became a member of the Risk & Quality group in 2000. He achieved his Ph.D in Philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley (1995) and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Waterloo (1997). In 2000, Rob received his Chartered Accountant designation.
