René is a partner in the Tax Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He is the primary tax advisor for large- and mid-sized public and private corporations. René specializes in the forestry sector, and is responsible for Canadian corporate tax planning, including corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, negotiations with tax authorities and personal tax planning.
Prior to joining PwC’s Montréal office in 1997, René served a broad base of owner-manager businesses in our Québec City office and was a tax director of a Québec-based public company.
René graduated from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 1988 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990. René is the president of an alumni group for the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Association de Planification Fiscale et Financière.
