Rahoul Chowdry is the Global Banking and Capital Markets Assurance Leader, as well as the National Banking and Capital Markets Assurance Leader in Canada. He’s also a partner in the Financial Services area of PwC Canada working in the Toronto office.
Rahoul is an acknowledged financial services specialist who has provided a wide range of audit, due diligence, risk management, litigation support and consulting services to a number of the firm’s major clients. His assignments have taken him to London, Geneva, Valetta, New York, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Wellington, Auckland, Mumbai and Tokyo.
He recently transferred from PwC Australia where he variously held a number of responsibilities, including Financial Services Practice Leader for Australia, member of the firm’s Extended Leadership Team and lead audit partner for two of Australia’s major banks and the Central bank.
Rahoul graduated with a B. Comms, (Honours) from the Institute of Calcutta. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICCA).
He has also delivered training for the ICCA on risk management and internal controls within treasury and trading operations, and accounting for derivative transactions. He served as the Finance Director of Madeline Foundation Limited, a charity registered in NSW and for several years was on the St. Aloysius College Council and Chair of its Finance Committee.
