Pierre Lessard is a partner in the Tax Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Montreal office.
In addition to being the Tax Services leader for the province of Quebec, Pierre oversees the Tax Services group's national operations. As part of his responsibilities at the Montreal office, he is also in charge of relations with corporate directors.
Pierre specializes in corporate tax planning and restructurings of publicly traded and mid-sized companies.
Pierre holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Quebec at Trois Rivières (UQTR) and an MBA from HEC School of Business in Montreal. He obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1978.
Pierre has had various tax articles published in Les Affaires and Finances. He has also taught the third component of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' in-depth tax course. In addition to serving on the executive committee of the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) and the organizing committee for the tax symposium organized by the Quebec Association of Tax and Financial Planners (APFF), he has developed and presented numerous seminars, primarily for the CTF. In 2010, he served as honorary chairman of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada's Wine and Cheese for Hope fundraising event. He also took part in the 2010 Quebec Strategic Focus.
