Philip Heywood is PwC Canada's Transaction Services (TS) leader for the Vancouver office.

A chartered accountant and deal professional, Phillip has worked on deals from multi-billion dollar private and public-to-public transactions to mid-cap sales and acquisitions.

Prior to joining the Vancouver office, Philip spent five years in New York as a director with PwC’s Transaction Services-Financial Services group. He has directed more than 50 Financial Services M&A transactions, providing due diligence expertise and industry knowledge on deals ranging from mid market to multi-billion dollar deal values.

He has directed both acquirer and vendor due diligence engagements on junior and operating mines, oil and gas engineering companies, banks, insurance companies (life and non-life), securities broker dealers and asset management firms (mutual fund complexes and alternative investment and private equity firms) for both top tier private equity and blue chip corporate buyers.

In addition, Philip has directed credit risk assessment and valuation projects on financial services targets, and has acted as a contracted advisor to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

He earned his CA designation from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
