Michael Maikawa is a partner at PwC and is a member of the firm’s International Tax Services Group. He is located in the Toronto office and is involved primarily in providing advice to multinational corporations in the area of international taxation including structuring and financing investments in and out of Canada.
Michael joined PwC in 1986, and was admitted to the partnership in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Accountant.
Michael has been a tutor at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants International Tax Course and a lecturer at the University of Waterloo Master of Taxation program. He is the co-editor of the International Tax Feature of the Canadian Tax Journal and has contributed to various tax publications and is a frequent speaker at tax conferences.
