Lucie is a Partner in Tax Services at PwC working in the Montréal office.
She leads the Montréal firm’s scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) group. A tax advisor and lawyer for over 20 years, Lucie specializes in SR&ED tax credits. She provides consulting, research and planning for corporations in various industry sectors, research centres and research consortiums. She has extensive and broad experience in claiming and defending SR&ED tax credit claims with tax authorities.
Lucie has led a team of scientific and tax specialists in federal and provincial SR&ED tax credits for a variety of emerging and established businesses. She has been involved with various CRA working groups, and was a member of the CRA’s Advisory Committee in Ottawa, as well as the Advisory Committee for the province of Quebec. She has also been retained as an expert by Revenu Québec. Her long-standing relationship with the CRA and Revenu Québec gives her credibility and negotiating strength.
Lucie holds an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and an MA (Tax) from the Université de Sherbrooke. She has also specialized in Technology Management at the Université de Montréal, in Legislative Drafting at Ottawa University and Comparative Law at Dalhousie University.
Lucie is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation. She has recently written three books on SR&ED tax credits, “Guide des activités et dépenses admissibles aux crédits d’impôt à la RS&DE au Canada”, “The Canadian SR&ED Tax Incentives Handbook” and “Guide de la RS&DE au Canada et au Québec”. She has prepared numerous tax bulletins, magazine articles and newspaper articles on SR&ED, as well as presented at conferences and given lectures.
