Julian Brown is a partner in the Consulting and Deals practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. He leads the Canadian Corporate Finance group.
Julian is responsible for a team of more than 50 mergers and acquisitions, debt, and real estate advisory professionals located across Canada who focus on finance raising and corporate transactions.
Julian has more than 20 years’ experience in deal origination and execution in Europe, primarily in London and Madrid. During this time he’s advised clients ranging from large, publicly listed multinationals to family-owned businesses on their M&A and financing transactions in a wide range of sectors. Most recently, Julian spent seven years building up and then running PwC Spain’s Corporate Finance unit, taking that business from a zero base to a successful cross-sector team of 25 investment banking professionals focused on deals typically in the US$50 million to US$1 billion range.
Julian graduated with a joint BSc (Honours) in Mathematics and Chemistry from the University of Southampton in England. He received his Investment Advice Diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (formerly the London Securities Institute) in 1994 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales in 1991.
