John Nyholt, CA

John Nyholt is a partner in the Deals group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. He is the National Leader of our Transactions Services group. With over 25 years of deal experience, he has advised clients on the full range of mergers and acquisitions, from assisting with sale process, advising on capital raising to complete transactions, and buy-side due diligence on target companies. John's industry experience is focused primarily on the industrial products and services sectors.

Assisting clients with domestic as well as cross-border and global transactions, John's experience covers a wide range of transaction advisory assignments, including:

• Assisting clients in preparing for a divestiture, including rigorous financial analysis and coordinating information flow to prospective purchasers
• Leading major due diligence engagements for corporate purchasers of businesses
• Assessing companies' forecasting processes and reviewing short and medium term budgets with a particular focus upon cash flows
• Assisting sellers and purchasers of businesses to structure transactions acceptable to both parties, including advising on the negotiation of key elements of purchase and sale agreements
• Strategic advisory assignments for the purpose of providing assistance to companies considering acquisitions or divestitures

John holds an HBA and MBA from The Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London. He is also a CA, and joined the firm in 1979.
