John Gotts is the leader of our Canadian Tax Reporting and Strategy practice. John and his team are dedicated to collaborating with clients to transform their tax departments and unleash their full departmental value by improving the effectiveness of their people, processes, data and technology. His experience includes developing tax strategy and technology roadmaps, advising on tax provision process improvements and tax technology enablement, tax data management, document and workflow management solutions and advising on tax risks and controls.
John also specializes in Canadian corporate income tax for public and multinational organizations with a focus on consumer and industrial products. He is experienced in cross-border tax planning, acquisitions and divestitures and corporate reorganizations.
As an educator and trainer, John has developed and delivered several internal tax courses, and facilitated the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Tax Course. John speaks regularly at events for financial and tax executives regarding the benefits of transforming tax.
John is a partner of PwC Canada and is located in the Oakville office. He joined the firm in 1996 after he earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University and obtained his CA designation in 1995.
