Jerry Alberton is a partner in the Tax Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office.
Jerry has extensive experience advising employers and employees on matters regarding Canadian and American tax, payroll, and human resource issues arising from international assignments. Jerry's technical experience includes international assignment planning, payroll, and policy development. He has extensive experience in compensation plan design, including signing bonuses, long-term incentive plans, severance arrangements, stock-based incentive plans, retirement compensation arrangements, deferred compensation plans, and change-in-control payments.
His clients include Canadian-based multinationals in financial services, technology, manufacturing, and hospitality industries.
Jerry is a CA and graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1986.
He has spoken at conferences in both Canada and the US and has taught a course on Canadian tax at York University in Toronto.
