James Pomeroy is a Director in the Deals practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, based in Halifax, Canada. He is part of the Forensic Services group and is currently seconded to PwC Caribbean where he leads the Forensic Services practice.
Since 2002, James’ practice area has been heavily concentrated in complex, multi-jurisdictional insolvency cases and fraud investigations, including several offshore banks and investment funds.
As part of PwC’s global Forensics team, James is regularly involved in international investigations and has worked throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada, Hong Kong, and China and has led asset tracing and recovery efforts into multiple jurisdictions around the globe, typically involving formal recognition of a foreign insolvency representative. His experience also includes investigations of commercial fraud, anti-trust, and forensic technology cases.
James is an experienced investigator with an appreciation for how the nuances of different regions and cultures impact an investigation. He is a Charted Accountant (CA), qualifying in Nova Scotia, Canada, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Fellow of INSOL International (Hons), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University.
