Ian Gunn is a partner in the Audit and Assurance Group practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Calgary office. He is also the Alberta leader for the Private Company Services practice.
With more than 25 years’ experience, Ian serves as a trusted business advisor to Calgary-area businesses who want to establish thriving local and national operations. He helps businesses establish credibility within their financial reporting processes and assists them with accounting, tax and business issues. Ian brings a broad range of experience to his clients from experience with companies operating in many markets. Canadian companies with international operations benefit from his experience with US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) reporting. Some of the industries that Ian has experience with include, real estate and construction, manufacturing and distribution, junior oil and gas, retail, investment management, pharmaceuticals, and automotive. Ian was admitted to the partnership in 1996.
Ian has been active in the community, formerly serving as the treasurer of the Grand Theatre in London and was the vice-chair, finance and administration for the Canada Summer Games held in London, Ont. in 2001. Currently, Ian helps out in his spare time with his children's minor hockey pursuits with the Springbank Minor Hockey Association in Calgary.
