Gino Scapillati is Vice Chair of PwC Canada and a member of the PwC Global Governance Board. Over the course of his 30 year career at PwC, Gino has worked with some of Canada’s largest and most complex companies, advising on reporting, regulatory and governance matters. Gino works with senior executives and corporate directors to ensure PwC delivers the value they need to solve problems and execute their business strategy.
As Vice Chair, Gino works with the firm’s engagement partners and teams to ensure PwC brings the best talent and insights to benefit our clients and prospects. Complementing this mandate is Gino’s role as a member of the PwC Global Governance Board, which consists of 18 partners that oversee the strategy and operations of the PwC Global Network.
Gino was previously PwC Canada’s Managing Partner for Markets, responsible for the firm’s client facing industry programs and services to National Priority clients. Prior to that role, he led PwC’s Greater Toronto Assurance practice (2005 to 2008), and PwC’s Canadian Entertainment and Media practice (2001 to 2005). Gino joined the Firm in 1981 and was admitted to partnership in 1990.
Gino is a current and past member of numerous not-for-profit organizations and charities. Currently Gino is a member of the National Council of C.D Howe Institute and the Ontario Business Advisory Council of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, providing strategic perspectives on the Canadian business environment.
Gino is a frequent presenter in the Directors Education Program of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCA) and a United States Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). In 2009, he was elected as a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant for his achievements and leadership contributions to the community and the profession. Gino has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.
