Esther Tse is an associate partner in the Deals practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Vancouver office. She is the leader of Vancouver’s Infrastructure and Project Finance group.

Esther has more than 25 years of advisory experience in the evaluation, structuring, negotiation and financing of large and complex projects. She focuses on the areas of project financing, public-private partnerships (PPPs) and mergers and acquisitions for the transportation, infrastructure and energy sectors. Esther has structured and sourced both debt and equity funding from various investors and lending institutions, such as European banks, capital markets and export credit agencies.

Recent transactions:

  • Advising the Alberta Electric System Operator on the development of a Competitive Process for new Critical Transmission Infrastructure
  • Advised EPCOR on their successful bid for the Evan-Thomas Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities Upgrade
  • Advised SaskPower on a review of their energy acquisition strategy

Esther holds a BA (Honours) in Philosophy from Singapore University, an MSc (Information Science) from Columbia University in New York, and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Calgary. She has engaged in numerous presentations on PPPs and project financing at conferences and workshops across Canada.
