Eric Andrew is the global leader of PwC’s Private Company and Middle Market practice. He was born and raised in Cyprus, educated in Europe and resides in Vancouver where he has practiced in the Private Company Services area for over 30 years. In his global role Eric works with PwC member firms across the world, is recognised for his strong leadership and cross-cultural skills and now leads the development of our Global Private Company and Middle Market practices which is one of PwC’s global strategic growth areas.
Eric is recognised by his clients for his professional experience, keen business insights and approachable nature. He builds strong business relationships providing valuable advice to owners and managers of private companies — whether at the local, national or global level. In working with his clients Eric draws upon the best technical, industry and geographic specialists within PwC and combines this with the technical expertise he has developed in his professional career — with particular specialities in accounting and audit, corporate and personal taxation, acquisition and divestment structuring and strategic planning.
Eric has held senior leadership roles in the PwC — in Human Resources, Audit and Assurance, and for seven years building and leading the Private Company Services practices in Canada. He has served as the Chairman of the PwC Canadian Partnership Board. Eric has also held several advisory, executive and board appointments in not-for-profit organizations including the Alliance of Manufacturers and Exporters BC, the University of British Columbia, a community Family Services Agency and the Choose Again Society for Attitudinal Healing in Vancouver and Costa Rica. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, has a MA in Economics and Accounting, and is an FCA.
Eric does some of his best thinking walking alongside his wife, family and dogs on the beaches in Vancouver and Bowen Island, or tending to his backyard garden retreats.
