Don Rupprecht is the National Finance Effectiveness Leader at PwC Canada working out of the Toronto office. Don has more than 17 years of finance effectiveness and merger integration experience with PwC, including three years overseas with PwC’s London office.
Don has helped finance functions maximize their value to the organization by improving specific processes such as budgeting, reporting, consolidation, month end close, transaction processing and intercompany accounting. He has implemented global shared service centers, new organization structures and new technology. Don spends about half his time on integrations and carve outs. He helps clients plan for day one, develop interim operating procedures and execute complete system integrations or carve outs. Don’s three years in PwC’s London office were spent performing back office diligence and synergy analysis followed by carve out, integration or standalone implementation on cross-border deals.
Don recently published a four part series of whitepapers with the Wharton School of Business on high performing functions. He also published PwC’s 2013 Finance Benchmarking Study and a whitepaper on applying Lean process improvement techniques to Finance.
Don attended Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Accounting with a concentration in international business. He was admitted to the PwC US partnership in 2007 and transferred to PwC Canada in July 2013.
