Domenico Baruffaldi is a Tax Services partner in the Calgary office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He is responsible for various national and international clients, and has specialized experience in taxation matters related to the mining and resource sector.
Domenico provides services to large mining producers as well as junior exploration companies. He has experience in acquisitions and divestitures, corporate finance and corporate reorganizations. He also deals with taxation matters concerning inbound and outbound expatriates, and scientific research and experimental development.
Domenico has lectured on tax related issues at both national and local professional courses, as well as for the Association de planification fiscale et financiere du Quebec (APFF). Domenico is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Montreal Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Montreal.
Domenico earned a BA (Architecture) from the University of Montréal in 1984, and a BA (Accounting) from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in 1987. In 1986, he received the Arthur Anderson/UQTR bursary for outstanding academic achievement. Domenico qualified as a CA in 1989 and became a partner with the firm in 2000.
