David Yee is a Tax Services partner working in the Edmonton office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He is part of the Private Company Services group.
David has 12 years’ experience advising high net worth individuals and private company owner-managers on estate and succession planning. He specializes in assisting private sector owners with Canadian and cross-border income tax matters such as building tax efficient ownership structures, reorganizations, sale planning, real estate acquisitions, shareholder issues, strategic acquisitions and divestitures, syndication and partnership structures, and estate and succession planning.
David’s approach to working with clients is to listen carefully, communicate frequently and provide proactive value-added services to meet their needs. “I deliver what I promise and when I promise,” he explains.
David’s recent projects include providing private company owners with tax strategies to restructure their business and accommodate succession, retirement and estate planning. He also helps clients with sale planning and strategic acquisitions to maximize their return on investment and cash flow. He also advises real estate developers on ownership structures and syndication strategies.
David graduated from Edmonton’s University of Alberta with a BCom (Honours) in 1996 and joined PwC the same year. He obtained his CA in 1999 and CPA in 2002. In 2009, he received his Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation.
From 2003 to 2007, David was a CICA In-Depth course tax tutor and group study leader.
