Dave Peters is a partner in PwC's Global Mobility practice based in Calgary. His primary focus is on serving clients in matters relating to employee mobility. As a member of the Canadian Tax Leadership Group, he oversees PwC's relationship with PricewaterhouseCoopers Immigration Law LLP, PwC Canada’s affiliated immigration law firm. He also leads the firm’s Tax Business Transformation initiatives, including technology and process improvement.
In these roles, and as a former member of the global Global Mobility leadership team, Dave brings the strength of PwC’s global network, thought leadership, technology tools and know-how to his clients. He has extensive experience in supporting employers and their employees with expatriate tax, mobility, immigration and HR issues arising from international assignments and business travel. In particular, Dave specializes in global expatriate account management and program coordination, global mobility strategies, international compensation including equity based compensation, payroll compliance and expatriate taxes including Canadian and US tax.
Dave has spoken at various tax conferences and seminars on executive compensation, equity compensation, taxation of cross-border business travelers and many different expatriate matters.
He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant who is also admitted to practice before the United States IRS.
