Dan Fontaine is a partner in PwC Canada’s International Tax Services practice in Mississauga. Dan's primary focus areas involve assisting multinational companies with the financing or refinancing of existing Canadian and foreign operations and with structuring and planning for acquisitions of Canadian and foreign companies and businesses. He also assists multinational companies in structuring start-up operations in Canada and abroad, and in addressing various Canadian withholding tax matters. In addition, over the past few years, Dan has assisted several U.S.-based investment funds address various non-resident issues relating to holding investments in Canadian funds or entities.
Dan is one of the Canadian firm's leaders regarding on-the-job learning and was chosen as a 2012 Learning Leader by the Canadian Society for Training and Development.
Dan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and Alberta and is an alumnus of the University of Alberta.
