Andrew Paterson is a partner in the Audit and Assurance Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Montréal office. He is the Investment Management Leader for the province of Quebec. He is one of the audit methodology champions for the Montréal office, a member of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) investment management team, and is involved in numerous internal committees.
With more than 15 years of experience, Andrew specializes in providing audit services to both public and private company clients involving real estate, mutual funds, investment managers, and broker dealers. He recently worked with the Canadian National Assurance Strategy Implementation Group, developing new audit methodologies and analyzing new accounting standards. He has also performed numerous internal quality reviews in Canada, Bermuda and Europe.
Andrew graduated from Concordia University in 1996 with a BCom, and earned his CA designation in 2001. He was asked to present regulatory and accounting updates to the Investment Fund Institute of Canada in 2004.
Andrew has been involved in numerous charity fundraisers, including the Children’s Wish Foundation’s volleyball tournament, the Dragon Boat race for the Missing Children’s Foundation and the Ride for Juvenile Diabetes.
