Alodie Brew is a partner in PwC’s Audit and Assurance Group working in the Toronto office.
Alodie has more than 20 years experience in the Financial Services industry, specializing in insurance. In 2011, she used her deep technical skills to help lead the national insurance practice’s clients to convert from CGAAP to IFRS. She works collaboratively with her clients and leverages her broad relationships to bring her clients the expertise of the entire firm. In 2006, Alodie launched PwC’s EyeOpener series which provides insights and updates on financial reporting, actuarial, tax and business topics to the insurance industry.
Alodie is a recognized leader in the industry. She is a member of the OSFI Insurance Advisory Committee, a former advisor to the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) Financial Affairs Committee and regular speaker at events organized by the Canadian Insurance Accounting Association, the IBC, the Canadian Insurance Financial Forum and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Alodie is a Director of the Canadian Audit and Assurance Standard Board and a member of PwC’s Global Future of Reporting and Assurance task force. She is also a Director of the National Ballet School where she lends her financial expertise. She recently completed an 8 year term on the Board of Altruvest, an organization which works to enhance the governance skills of charitable sector boards and senior leaders.
Alodie is passionate about developing her team members, and fostering their career progression. She has been the Human Capital Leader of PwC’s GTA Audit practice for the past 5 years.
