Albert Silverman is a senior vice president in the Consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. He is a member of the IT Effectiveness group.

Albert’s areas of specialization include computer enterprise architecture, telecommunications, new business integration and negotiation of IT sourcing and outsourcing. He is experienced in guiding Canadian corporations in the implementation of their IT mainframe and server infrastructure and applications. In addition, Albert is recognized as a subject matter expert in IT, data networking and the Internet.

Albert has been a speaker at events including the CBTA Conference in Toronto, Scotia Capital Conference on Media and Telecommunications, the Capgemini Conference on Enterprise Architecture in Paris and the IT World Canada CIO Conference. He delivers speeches on a range of topics such as the convergence of the telecommunications industry, building a collaborative organization and network centric business strategy. Albert has served as a staff member of York University’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Atkinson College where he taught courses on the design and structure of computer systems. His publications include the Performance Tuning Guide for VM/VSE — IBM Redbook. Albert is a recipient of the IBM Corporate Technical Innovation Award.

Albert holds a BSc from the University of Toronto, a diploma from IBM’s Systems Research Institute and a certificate (Business Administration) from the University of Western Ontario in London. He is also a Certified Senior Enterprise Architect.
