Any corporation that conducts business in Ontario and British Columbia will feel the impact of the provinces' decision to harmonize their provincial sales tax systems with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on July 1, 2010. The tax base and basic operational rules of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) in the provinces will be similar to the GST, and the Canada Revenue Agency will administer the new tax.
