In Print: Ontario PST Harmonization

Effective July 1, 2010, a single 13 percent harmonized sales tax (HST) replaces the Goods and Services tax and Ontario's provincial sales tax. Known as the Ontario Value-Added tax (OVAT), the new system shares characteristics with the Atlantic provinces' HST as well Quebec's sales tax system.
