The provincial government has just released the much-anticipated transitional rules around the incoming harmonization of the Ontario Retail Sales Tax with the federal Goods and Services Tax. With just over eight months until sales tax harmonization (July 1, 2010), you will need to start considering what changes will be required to comply with the new rules and how other potential implications of harmonization may impact your organization.

We invite you to join members of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Indirect Tax group in a presentation and planning session to incorporate the transitional rules and best prepare your organization for the coming changes.

The seminar will highlight:

  • What do we know at this stage?
  • The impact of the transitional rules
  • ITC restrictions: A Quebec Sales Tax (QST) perspective (the restrictions for ITCs will be similar to those currently in place for QST purposes)
  • Timelines
  • What are some of the things that we still don't know at this stage?
  • What should you be doing now?

Who should attend?

Finance staff responsible for administering tax changes for your organization.

Please register early as seating is limited.
