2010-04-01 AcSB releases summary comparison of accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE) and the XFI version of Part V of the Handbook

The staff of the Accounting Standards Board have prepared a summary document that compares accounting standards for private enterprises (Part II of the CICA Handbook – Accounting as of December 31, 2009) and the XFI version of Part V of the Handbook.

The summary covers significant recognition and measurement differences. It does not compare presentation and disclosure requirements. The comparison does not necessarily include all of the differences that might arise in a particular entity's circumstances.

The document indicates which Part V standards have been excluded from ASPE and those that have been combined with other standards under ASPE. The comparison also notes where EIC's have been incorporated into the main ASPE standards. Below is a link to the staff summary:
