Calgary’s community spirit was ignited while helping rebuild after the flood, showcasing our generosity and compassion as a city and province. Now we have the opportunity to showcase our music while continuing to support flood relief efforts.

On August 15, Alberta Flood Aid is hosting a benefit concert to raise money for the rebuilding fund. Working alongside Alberta Parks and Recreation, the groups have organized a pre-concert event outside of McMahon Stadium. A concert will follow in McMahon Stadium, a venue that accommodates 30,000 people.

The concert has already received local, regional, and national attention. The lineup consists of Southern Alberta artists including: Brent Butt acting as the MC, Jann Arden, Randy Bachman, Tom Cochrane, Matthew Good, Colin James, Loverboy, Corb Lund, Nickelback, Johnny Reid, The Sadies, The Sheepdogs and Ian Tyson.

We’re proud to sponsor this event. What a great way to celebrate our coming together as a community and to remind ourselves that our commitment to Calgary doesn’t waver. If you would like to learn more about our involvement, get in touch with Melissa Homenuik.
