René Albert is a partner within Tax services in the Montreal office of PwC Canada, where he is the leader of Tax services for the mining sector. He has over 20 years of experience in tax.

As part of his duties, René is responsible for tax planning for public and private companies including reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and negotiations with tax authorities. He has participated in the implementation of financing structure for many customers. René has several companies in the mining sector among his clients, as well as clients in the field of transportation and pulp and paper.

He graduated from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, and he is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) and the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF). In recent years, he has been invited to give lectures at Insight conferences for the CTF and APFF.
