Rebecca Norton is an Associate Lawyer in the Immigration Practice at PwC Law LLP working out of the Calgary office.
Rebecca practices exclusively in the area of Canadian business immigration law whereby she provides practical and strategic advice to corporate and private clients with respect to a wide range of immigration matters. Rebecca has prepared hundreds of successful applications for Canadian temporary resident visas, temporary resident permits and criminal rehabilitation, labour market impact assessments, work permits, study permits, permanent residence, and citizenship. Further, Rebecca has assisted numerous corporate clients with respect to the development and implementation of new or enhanced workforce mobility programs and policies. Additionally, Rebecca is frequently retained to provide immediate assistance to corporate clients with respect to compliance matters, such as government inspections and audits.
Rebecca has been published by Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Bulletin and is a frequent contributor to our Client Alerts. Rebecca has also presented to the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta) Corporate Counsel Section and conducted an advanced workshop for immigration and human resource professionals with respect to the Express Entry System at the 2015 Canadian Institute’s Immigration and International Workers Forum West.
In addition to being a practising Barrister and Solicitor in the Province of Alberta, Rebecca is also a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, the Federal Court of Australia, and the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Employee Relocation Council, and a former Member of the Queensland Law Society. Rebecca is the Treasurer and past Secretary of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta) Immigration South Section. Rebecca is also a volunteer with Children’s Cottage Society and a past volunteer with Immigrant Services Calgary.
