Monika Szabo is a Partner in the Immigration Practice at PwC Law LLP working out of the Toronto office.
With over 18 years of US immigration law experience, including leading the US immigration team at a leading consulting firm, Monika is dedicated to providing legal services to companies requiring immigration assistance in the United States. Monika has extensive experience representing large multinational corporations in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, transportation, consulting and energy. Specializing in global workforce mobility, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, permanent residency, and policy development, Monika has represented clients before US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the US Department of Labor, the US Department of State, and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Monika is a frequent speaker at professional and industry events around the world and has authored numerous articles for a variety of publications. Specifically, Monika has spoken at Global Mobility HR Business Leaders Conferences and Tax Conferences throughout Canada, US, Europe and Asia. Key topics of discussion are US Immigration Compliance, Global Mobility and Tax and Immigration Policies for Foreign National Employees. Monika’s professional publication highlights include articles written on behalf of the Canadian Tax Foundation and various publications for the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Monika received her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in New York and is a Member of the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She is also a Recognized Mentor of the American Immigration Lawyers Association where her expertise is recognized and requested by her peers. Prior to joining PwC Law LLP, Monika practiced for many years in New York, Budapest and Toronto.
