PwC is committed to helping you develop excellent technical skills. As a learning organization, we’re also focused on developing the "whole" person, not just the technical expert. We’ll work with you to develop stronger relationships with your colleagues and clients through frequent coaching, job shadowing and our “teach-don’t-tell” philosophy. It’s what we call Enhanced Working Practices (EWP).
What does this mean?
From your first day on the job, you’ll be part of a team that takes more time for coaching and mentoring, and helps look for opportunities for you to develop while learning on the job. You’ll have the opportunity to interact directly with clients, while working closely with an experienced team member who'll provide you with timely advice and feedback to make sure that you understand how to deliver the best solutions on a client file. It’s a great way to help you learn from others. It also helps newer associates take on greater responsibility for their work.
It’s important for you to have the right knowledge to tackle specific parts of a client engagement as well as a strong understanding of the bigger picture. As part of our EWP, we’ll help make sure you know how everything comes together so you’re better able to anticipate and respond to client issues now and into the future. This will accelerate your development and your career.
We continue to invest in your development throughout your career to support you in a current position as well as prepare you for more senior roles within the firm. Once you become a senior manager, you may have the opportunity to participate in leadership development programs such as Genesis Park.
Genesis Park is a global PwC leadership program that gives our top people the coaching, peer counselling and training they need to reach the highest levels of their career.
