Southwestern Ontario

Glen M. Dyrda, FCA

Managing Partner, PwC Southwestern Ontario

I'm delighted to welcome you to the Southwestern Ontario (SWO) offices of PwC. Our SWO practice combines our offices in Waterloo, Windsor and London into what's considered a virtual office. This lets our people enjoy a much broader learning experience, and offers our clients the combined resources of our SWO-wide team.

I'm the Chair of the Partnership Board of PwC in Canada. My contacts on the Board and from my two-year secondment to England some years ago still provide me with a unique ability to provide a distinctive experience to our people and our clients each and every day.

For the past seven years, PwC has been selected as one of Canada's Top 100 employers, but I've always felt we were a top performer from the first day I stepped into the office here. I look forward to welcoming you to our offices in Waterloo, as do my partners Loris Macor in Windsor and Chirag Shah in London, together with the rest of our Southwestern Ontario team.

Sincerely,

Glen M. Dyrda, FCA

PwC's Southwestern Ontario offices include three cities that are all great places to live and work. Waterloo is strategically located in what's known as Canada's Technology Triangle and is considered one of the world's most intelligent cities.

Windsor is a major centre for research and development, advanced technology, automotive vehicles and parts manufacturing, consumer and industrial products, and agriculture.

London is the largest urban centre of our Southwestern Ontario locations and is home to world renowned healthcare facilities and prestigious educational institutions.

While these three cities are home to our people, exciting opportunities with PwC have taken them to different places around the globe including Australia, Columbia and Ireland. These opportunities, coupled with our expansive internal learning and development programs, allow our people to develop to their highest potential.

"Working at PwC Windsor for the last two months as a co-op student has been a remarkable experience. The support I've received from day one has been amazing and everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand." — Mrinal, Summer Student

"After completing an interim audit, our team had an Enhanced Working Practices workshop. It helped us come up with new ways to effectively use and promote our teach-don't-tell philosophy during our audits. It was a good opportunity to reflect on what we did well and what we could do better in the future." — Stefan, Summer Student

"Volunteering in the community is one of the most important gifts that we can give. The Pricewaterhouse Coopers Canada Foundation provides us with the support and opportunities to help out in so many different ways. We've had team volunteering days where we've helped build houses, plant trees, clean up trails, fill up backpacks, prepare meals for shelters and so many other activities. It makes me proud to say that I work at PwC." — Sherry, Manager
