Discovering a career in Consulting & Deals
Jessica has always set her own course, constantly exploring new opportunities, discovering new challenges, and meeting new people. She began her career in Halifax as a co-op student in Consulting & Deals, before she joined the Audit and Assurance Group, where she earned her CA designation.
While she enjoyed the broad understanding of business she gained through her work in Audit, it’s the detailed forensics work she really found rewarding. After speaking with her coaches and her team, Jessica returned to Consulting & Deals where she’s now a Certified Fraud Examiner.
It’s there, in the details, that Jessica reveals the truth behind the numbers — uncovering financial irregularities and helping people whose lives have been affected by fraud. For Jessica, knowing she’s making a difference is what’s important. Her desire to help people also motivates her to volunteering in the community, and once even took her to Africa to work with an HIV/AIDS awareness mission.
